SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION COMMANDER’S MESSAGE:

This fall season is quickly coming upon us. That means at least two things for us in the S.A.L. First that 2009 membership fees are due. They can be dropped off at the post. Your new I.D. card will be mailed to you by adjutant/finance officer Hank Olson. Please remember we must have your dues before mailing your new card.

Secondly, information on our Holiday Fundraiser will be mailed in Early September. Last year’s fundraiser was extremely successful. This year’s drawing will be held on Thursday, November 20 at 7 pm. This year’s prizes include a $150 gift card to Food Lion plus $100 and $50 gift cards to local restaurants.

I would like to remind everyone that our meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 pm. I’d like to meet and talk to ever member as we can use some new and fresh ideas for future events and activities. Can I count on seeing you at our next meeting?

Please support the Calabash Post and, certainly, the veterans in our area. Ask them if they need help with an errand or chore. You will be surprised how good it makes you feel.
